<p>A los 67 años de edad, dejó de existir este viernes el icónico y alabado baterista de la banda Rush, <strong>Neil Peart</strong>.</p>
<p>El músico falleció el pasado <strong>martes 7 de enero</strong>, tras padecer un agresivo <strong>cáncer cerebral</strong>que combatió por tres años y medio, según confirmó el vocero de su familia,Elliot Mintz.</p>
<p>Tales declaraciones fueron complementadas con un comunicado que publicó la misma banda en sus redes sociales.</p>
<p>“Con el corazón roto y profunda tristeza que compartimos la terrible noticia sobre que el martes pasado <strong>nuestro amigo, hermano del alma y compañero de banda por casi 45 años Neil perdió su valiente batalla de tres años y medio su batalla ante el cáncer cerebral (glioblastoma)</strong>“, indicaron.</p>
<p>Además de pedir respeto por la privacidad de la familia, el grupo también señaló que <strong>“a quienes quieran expresar sus condolencias pueden elegir una fundación relacionada con la investigación del cáncer y hacer una donación en nombre de Neil”</strong>.</p>

<p>Peart ha sido elevado como <strong>uno de los mejores bateristas de la historia</strong>, reconocido por haber alcanzado un <strong>significativo virtuosismo</strong> en su instrumento, estableciendo una base de inspiración para las generaciones posteriores.</p>
<p>El ejercicio en la batería lo alcanzó inspirándose en el músico de The Who, Keith Moon, a quien posteriormente superó ampliamente en sus capacidades, de acuerdo con medios especializados como <em>Rolling Stone</em>.</p>
<p>Junto al cantante y bajista <strong>Geddy Lee</strong> y al guitarrista<strong>Alex Lifeson</strong>, <strong>Peart llegó a crear Rush en 1974,</strong>banda de rock progresivo que destacó en la escena mundial por sus complejas interpretaciones en conjunto con creativas líricas, inspiradas incluso por la ciencia ficción.</p>
